Sema shows are held daily in Cappadocia — typically in the evening. Book at least 1 day in advance for guaranteed seating.

🕯️ Arrival & Atmosphere Upon arrival, you’ll enter a serene, ambient hall or cave with traditional music setting the tone. The environment is calming and sacred.
🎼 Pre-Performance Intro Some venues offer a short explanation of Sufi history, the Mevlevi Order, and the symbolism of the ceremony.
🌀 The Ceremony Begins The music starts with a traditional Turkish ensemble. Slowly, the Dervishes enter and begin their elegant, symbolic whirl. The ceremony lasts about 45–50 minutes.
🤲 Silence & Stillness During the performance, the audience remains silent in respect. Filming or photography is not allowed until after the show.
📸 Post-Show Moments At the end, you may take photos of the venue or with the performers (if permitted). You’ll be guided back to your hotel with a sense of calm and reverence.
